What To Expect
The visit starts with identifying targets, goals and of course budget. The practitioner will then prepare your skin with a cool gel to the area being treated, While the procedure is not painful, you may experience a slight tingle over sensitive areas (similar to an elastic band being snapped). Your practitioner may decide to use a numbing agent to ensure you are comfortable through the entire procedure.
There is almost no downtime. In most cases you experience mild redness easily covered with makeup or concealer. In more aggressive treatments you may expect some redness or sloughing the following day to week.
For the first 24 hours, you should keep your skin protected. After the first 24 hours, the treated skin will begin to slough off as new healthy skin comes to the surface. You may experience social downtime for a few days but can resume normal daily activities as desired.
