One of the biggest gaps I’ve felt in our aesthetic community is a standardized course teaching providers the tools to feeling competent and confident to manage complications in aesthetic medicine. As medical providers we are liable for the care we provide.
‘Managing Complications in Aesthetic Medicine’
Didactic and SIM based learning
Topics include:
- Management of anaphylaxis
- Management of a vascular occlusion (protocol and SIM)
- Filler based blindness protocol and SIM (updated)
- How to do a patch test
This course is designed for nurses, pharmacists, dentists and physicians to develop the skills required to manage adverse events in aesthetic medicine.
The course is a combination of didactic review of current guidelines and studies, current protocols used in clinic for managing complications and simulations to build confidence in managing adverse events.
